About - "Peace Be Still"

As in every life, I was going through a period of upheaval and turmoil during my first pregnancy. I'm sure some of it was hormonal, but the bottom line is I had no idea what to do next concerning a certain situation. Every bit of reasoning I had was exhausted and as I sat in the car of a acquaintance listening to the story of her own plight, this song began to resonate in my heart and I sang it to her. Needless to say it was both an answer for her situation and also for mine and I can't even tell you the peace that flooded me as I sang it straight through without thought. I just opened my mouth with my heart turned in prayer to God and out it flowed! When I was finished, I saw her face, full of tears of thankfulness to God, as was my own. That was a night I will never forget because God was kind enough to send a soothing song to us in our time of need... and for that I am eternally grateful.

Prayer: "May I never forget to search for the peace of God found in His holy word, find my quiet place and always remember that God is with me while I am waiting for His orders of action!"

"Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; TOMORROW (this shows a period of waiting; it is not always appropriate to act immediately) go out against them: for the LORD will be with you." - 2 Chronicles" - 20:17

"Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah." - Psalms. 4:4

"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among those who do not know me, I will be exalted in the earth." - Psalms 46:10
